#23: Anticipation

You know that fluttery feeling you get in the pit of your stomach right before something is going to happen? Like when you watch a chick flick and the main characters finally have their first kiss. Or the excitement you feel right before opening a gift. I love that feeling. I wish I could bottle it up and store it for future use! Right now anticipation is in the air!
So many things to look forward to! Babies, weddings & GLOBE TROTTING!! I love it! Life is good!! :)

#22: Patience.

There are very few people in my life who have the patience to tolerate me for long periods. I can stretch a 2 minute story over an hour because I keep getting side tracked. I drive 30 minutes to a destination that is 10 minutes away because of my many detours and U turns (and slow granny-like driving). I can start a 1 year blog during the summer and procrastinate for a whole season (really....its a gift I think, this procrastination)

But the one true person in my life who never gives up on me is God. I can fall a hundred times and get side tracked a thousand times -- He'll still be there patiently waiting for me to pick up where we left off.

#21: Clarity

So I woke up on the wrong side of bed the other day. Boy oh boy was I craaaanky! It was a Sunday. My mom and I were late for church. We sat in the back surrounded by cute but super annoying loud crying kids. yikes!! grrr!!

Then for very short period of time it felt as if the volume turned low and the parishioners in front of me parted a bit so I could actually see the priest. He raised his hands, looked directly at me and prayed "Peace be with you. Peace be with you"

ahhh

Thanks God.

#20: When music speaks

You know that feeling you get when a song just hits you? As if it was created to enhance whatever emotion or state you may be in at that exact moment in time. Like the writer of the song had you in mind as they were thinking of the lyrics. Even if you've heard it a hundred times before -- at this moment the song is brand new. Put in on repeat...add it to the play list. Its now my song.

#19: Mother Daughter bonding

I woke up with the sun shining threw the window and my mom knocking at my door asking if I wanted to go out to eat. We spent the day talking and laughing while running errands and shopping for groceries. Gone are the awkward pre teen years when my mother was my worst enemy! Instead I consider her my best friend. (cheesy I know) :)

#18: Leaving work after the last shift

Don't get me wrong..I love what I do. But like most people I also love my days off! So when the day is done and I've finished my tasks I can't help but feel a little giddy as I walk down the hall and exit the building. That first deep breathe of fresh non-hospital smelling air....ahhh! It marks the beginning of late nights, fun times, and the ability to NOT wear scrubs! Its the weekend and I'm not working! eeeek!

#17: The perfect double double

Tim Hortons double double. I hate to say it..but there have been a few times where I've been dissapointed. Not enough sugar...too much cream. Sometimes I get a cup with sort of a burnt bitter taste that makes me wonder it the pot was past the 20 minute mark. But lately they've been getting it juuuust right. I love taking that first sip of a gooooood cup of coffee!
